The tour will start at Shinsaibashi-Suji Shopping Street which stretches for about 580 meters. The shopping street has flourished for 380 years of history and is popular with shoppers of all ages. Shinsaibashi-Suji is one of the best-known shopping areas in Osaka lined up with traditional kimono tailors, western clothing and footwear retailers, restaurants and fast food outlets, cake shops, jewelry shops and boutiques featuring the latest fashions.
After strolling the covered street, you will hit the Dotonbori area which is famous for its colorful neon signs, flashy sign boards that represents the passion of Osakans. Your guide will point to some iconic signs for you to take photos of and even take you to a small narrow alley that still retains the flavor and atmosphere of old Osaka.
Later, you will continue the walk to Den-Den Town, one of the largest commercial districts for electronics in Japan along with Akihabara in Tokyo. Just as in Akihabara, you will spot some maid cafes, Manga shops and cosplayers in the area.
Kuromon Market is our next stop. For more than 170 years, the market has satisfied the locals’ appetites for tasty, fresh food products. With around 150 stores selling a variety of dishes in the market, it won’t take long until you’ll find something that suits your palate. Lunch is included. Your guide may take you to their favorite place for lunch. Please inform them of your food preference and allergies at the beginning of the tour so your guide can arrange a place that is suitable for everyone.
After lunch, you will visit a temple called Shitennoji which is the first Buddhist temple to receive national oversight and financial support from the government. It was founded in 593 by Prince Shotoku. Although the temple buildings have burned down several times, they still reflect  the original design from the 6th century. You will also get to see the Gokuraku Jodo no Niwa "Pure Land Garden” where you can relax from the bustle of the big city. After soaking yourself in the calmness, it’s time to return to the vibrant town. You will walk to Jan Jan Yokocho street in the Shin-Sekai area. Contrary to the flashy signboards in Shin Sekai, the Jan Jan Yokocho street retains some of the nostalgic atmosphere of  he Showa Era. Only the cheap and yummy dishes have survived since then. You will find some old fashioned game arcades. After a glimpse of the Tsutenkaku tower, you will head back to Kyoto by subway and train with your guide.
